I'm thinking of buying a home in the Valley to rent out. What should I check first?

Three things, before you make an offer. Check whether the home is inside the Kearsarge Lighting Precinct, using the precinct map or by asking the precinct clerk. Check the rules in the town where it sits, including permits and registration. And talk to a local manager early about whether short stays or rentals of 30 days or more make more sense for that home.
